The latest installment of Bar Wars takes place November 26th through December 5 (Repeal Day), and celebrates the first modern cocktail, The Manhattan.The cocktail competition challenges the best bars in the city to create the top Manhattan, with the final four mixologists going to a final mix-off on December 4 at Salvage Station. The 9 day event will include the citywide competition and voting for general public; industry events and evenings with brand representatives.
Bar Wars ends with a Repeal Day celebration with critically acclaimed author Philip Greene at Smoky Park Supper Club from 6-9pm. This ticketed event ($75) includes a cocktail hour, an illuminating and interactive seminar by Philip Greene, cocktails created by the Author, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a signed copy of his newest book, The Manhattan: The First Modern Cocktail. Philip will tell the story of the 'Perfect Cocktail', from its debut in 1875 to modern time cocktail culture. The evening will be lively with storytelling, delicious cocktails and beautiful people like you!
