Fish and Friends showcases Asheville-based songwriters and musicians in a friendly, collaborative setting at the fabulous Salvage Station. James Fisher, of Blue Dragons and several side projects, plays with different performers every other month or so. Musical compadres Bill Melanson & Jeff Mooney often perform; past featured guests include Jane Kramer & Eliza Sydney, Rod Murphy, Liz Teague, Eddie Dewey and more.
On Saturday, April 15, from 3:30 to 5:30, Fish & Friends features:
Ryan Burns on keyboards. Ryan has played with a who's who of Asheville musicians, live and in the studio. He's a true "Asheville all star".
Dave Baker on bass, vocals and accordian. Dave has roots in New Orleans, moved to Asheville after Hurricane Katrina, and plays in several bands, including his own Long Distance Relationship.
Eddie Dewey on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Eddie plays in Blue Dragons with Fish and is the other primary songwriter for the band.

ABOUT HOT POINT TRIO
HotPoint Trio pays homage to the acoustic swing jazz style created in 1930's Paris, by guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli, known as Gypsy Jazz. HotPoint plays various genres incorporating a contemporary style and interpretation into their live performances.
HotPoint Trio was formed in 2012 and consists of Steve Karla(guitar), Trevor Stoia(upright bass, vocals) and Matt Williams(violin, mandolin, vocals).
HotPoint has been a regular feature at the Inn on Biltmore Estate Thursday and Sunday evenings, 7:30-9:30pm, for over three years.
